If you’re seeking a therapist, you’re taking a courageous step for yourself and all the people in your life. Let’s see if I’m the right person to join you at this stage of your journey.
My practice is divided into two areas.
About my practice
Clients have my respect and admiration right from the start. It takes enormous courage to ask for help. The struggle is real. I can see folks in-person in Cherry Creek, or via telehealth anywhere in CO.
I’m flexible in my approach. Some people need more direction, homework, and a map of where we’re going. Let’s do it. But some people progress more on the scenic route and want to explore what they find along the way. That’s a meaningful journey as well. Both approaches can deepen your understanding of self and help you live your life more effectively. Let’s figure out the approach that works for you to get where you want to be.
I work with all kinds of people— especially those who may feel outside the mainstream, a little different, or even a little ‘odd.’ I have experience working with the historically marginalized (like women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and people with disabilities), as well as people on the autism spectrum. I practice a stance of cultural humility and curiosity.
Background and education
Raised in an Air Force family, I grew up in central Texas and North-West Florida. As an adult I lived in New York City for 15 years, and that’s where I discovered my passion for eating pizza and helping people through therapy and social work. I now live in Denver, where my wife and I are raising our 5-year old tornado.
My background in the arts, making theatre and writing, gives me a creative sense of collaboration. I’ve used expressive arts techniques to help people struggling with persistent and serious mental illness as well as those who are getting along fine but feel that “something is missing from life.” I especially enjoy facilitating groups.
I hold a Master of Social Work from Silberman School of Social work at Hunter College in New York City, where I also received a year of specialized training in the National Child Trauma Workforce Institute. I’m fully licensed to practice psychotherapy in the state of Colorado.

Hello, fellow person. If you’re seeking a therapist, you’re taking a courageous step for yourself and anyone else in your life. Let’s see if I’m the right person to join you at this stage of your journey.
I have training in evidence-based therapies as well as a background in the arts. This allows me to use out-of-the-box approaches alongside the latest science and research. You and I can collaborate to find the approach that gets you where you want to be. Maybe that’s stopping harmful patterns, maybe it’s reconciling the past, or maybe it’s determining who you are and what you really want. That’s my favorite thing— helping people live freer, fuller, more connected lives.
